Seasonal Site Inquiry

Seasonal RV Sites

Most of the RV sites at Shady Shores are leased for the full season, which runs from April 15th to October 15th each year. About 40 of the sites are located smack dab on the beach with direct access to and extraordinary views of Lake Ontario, and in some cases Blind Sodus Bay. Quite a few of the remaining sites are located on hills and elevated terrain which provide beautiful views of the lake. And in other areas of the resort we have more wooded and private RV sites, off the beaten path.

All of our sites come with water, 30-amp electrical service (50 amp service is available for an additional cost), a picnic table and a fire ring. Electricity usage is metered and paid directly by the site holder on a monthly basis. Seasonal membership is good for two adults and up to four children. Seasonal campers have full access to both Lake Ontario and Blind Sodus Bay and all of the Shady Shores facilities (restroom and shower buildings, laundry room, pavilion, playground and more).

Staying for the season allows you to enjoy all of the events and activities that are held throughout the year for people of all age groups. From bingo and poker nights at the Pavilion, horseshoe tournaments, themed parties for the kids (such as the spring Easter egg hunt, Halloween in September, hay wagon rides and more), themed dinners and parties complete with a DJ or live band. If you like to fish or enjoy power boating, we’ve got you covered on that too. We are right next door to Fair Point Marina which can accommodate boats up to 45 ft. The marina is just a short walk from our seasonal sites.

You will also be just a couple of miles from everything in the charming village of Fair Haven, which includes a world class winery (just down the street from us), a number of waterfront bars and restaurants and some interesting shopping too such as the Fly By Night Cookie Company. To see Fair Haven is to love Fair Haven!

Most of our campers have been at Shady Shores for many years. It’s a special place with very friendly people!

Why lease an RV site for the season?

Seasonal RV sites have become increasingly popular for a number of reasons. They provide campers with a home away from home, where you can set up your lot the way you want it with things like decks, awnings, campfire seating and even three season porch enclosures. You get all of the benefits of owning a vacation home without the high initial purchasing costs and the ongoing expenses of paying taxes, utilities and maintenance. Another reason campers like seasonal RV sites is to avoid the hassle of dealing with congested highways and crowded campgrounds during the summer. And you have the opportunity to develop closer friendships with your summertime neighbors year after year. Many of our customers have developed life-long friendships from their neighbors at Shady Shores.

“We became seasonal campers a couple of years ago after bringing our RV for a week or two each year. I wish we had grabbed a seasonal site much earlier. My family and I love it, and we can’t wait to get back every year. There is so much to do for the kids, and my wife and I love all of the wonderful things Fair Haven has to offer such as the winery, the restaurants and bars and of course the Cookie Lady.
